David Lippe Is ASHRAE Illinois Chapter President
July 20, 2021 — David Lippe, Cyclone’s Manager of Real Estate Services, has assumed his role as ASHRAE Illinois President for the 2021-22 term. Dave has previously served on the ASHRAE Illinois Board of Directors as Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
Established in 1906, the Illinois Chapter is ASHRAE’s oldest, and with more than 1,200 members, it is also among the largest chapters. Monthly meetings with technical presentations, tours, advocacy and social events throughout the year offer members opportunities for professional growth, networking and career advancement. ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. The Society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration, and sustainability within the industry. Through research, standards writing, publishing, and continuing education, ASHRAE shapes tomorrow’s built environment today. There are currently 57,000 ASHRAE members in 132 countries.
One of Dave’s goals in the coming year is to promote inclusivity for members in a hybrid fashion. “There are members who are ready to meet in-person and members who still prefer virtual. I want to do what I can to make sure to plan meeting and event formats that make everyone feel included and bring people together from different geographic areas of the Chapter, which stretches from Chicago to Iowa. I’m excited for the opportunity to work alongside such talented Board Members and for what we can accomplish this year for our Chapter.”
Congratulations and best of luck in the coming year Dave!
