Megan Starner Promoted to Director of Operations
July 15, 2021– Megan Starner has been promoted to Director of Operations. In her new role, Megan brings nearly 20 years of project management experience to reach across department lines to increase the collaboration and delivery of internal initiatives.
Prior to accepting this role, Megan was the energyPLAN Account Manager and focused on working with property teams to ensure that the monitoring of building data and implementation of cost-saving initiatives are on target to meet or exceed building performance expectations.
Prior to joining the Cyclone team, Megan worked with a Chicago-based sustainability consulting firm where she was one of the key project managers for LEED Certification submittals and who, over the course of five years, grew the department to become the Director of Professional Services. In this role she oversaw not only all LEED Certification submittals but also engaged with clients regarding building performance through a sustainability tracking platform.
Megan grew up in Nebraska where she earned her degree in Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After a move and starting her career in North Carolina, Megan relocated to Chicago to earn her Interior Design degree at Harrington College of Design. This shift opened the doors to becoming a LEED Accredited Professional and an overall champion of sustainable design and energy efficient initiatives.Not many know that she started her professional career in the pharmaceutical industry where she worked on innovative clinical trials aimed at obtaining FDA approval.
